TriZetto Subsidiary Gateway EDI Acquires ClaimLogic, Expanding Into The Hospital Market And Growing Its Large-Practice Client Base

The TriZetto Group, Inc., recently announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Gateway EDI, has acquired ClaimLogic, a medical claims and payment processing company that has served healthcare organizations such as Emory Healthcare and University of Virginia Physician’s Group for more than a decade. The acquisition broadens TriZetto’s combined healthcare provider and payer client base to include hospitals and additional large medical practices. TriZetto now provides revenue cycle management and EDI solutions to more than 180,000 care providers.

“Uniting the expertise and tools of Gateway EDI and ClaimLogic will allow us to offer new solutions to our combined provider customers,” said Charlotte Martin, president and COO of Gateway EDI. “We are eager to blend our resources to serve as an even stronger partner for our clients.”

Gateway EDI’s parent company TriZetto provides world-class information technology and service solutions that help providers and payers work more efficiently and collaboratively to deliver better health.

“The acquisition enables TriZetto to support greater provider-payer collaboration in the hospital-system market, including academic medical centers,” said Trace Devanny, chairman and CEO of TriZetto. “Improving access to information between the providers and hospitals who deliver care and the health plans that pay for the care will enhance work flow processes and help reduce costs.”

“Like Gateway EDI, ClaimLogic has always taken pride in putting customers first,” said J.P. Davis, COO and co-founder of ClaimLogic. “The combination of our solutions will allow our clients more customization and flexibility to improve their work flow management objectives while improving their top and bottom lines.”

TriZetto and Gateway EDI also recently acquired NHXS, a company that helps practices manage reimbursement and minimize the administrative cost of recovering lost revenues.

“By combining the capabilities of TriZetto, Gateway EDI, NHXS and ClaimLogic, we’ve created a powerful portfolio of tools, including additional payment-analytic capabilities, that can bring significant efficiencies to the complex claims-reimbursement process and greatly enhance care delivery,” said Devanny.

ClaimLogic’s current leadership team will continue to run the organization’s day-to-day operations.
