TeraMedica Signs Agreement With Vanderbilt University Medical Center For Its Evercore Vendor Neutral Architecture

TeraMedica announced that following an agreement between the parties on October 25th, 2012, Vanderbilt University Medical Center will implement TeraMedica's Evercore Clinical Enterprise Suite in mid-2013.  Vanderbilt University Medical Center will utilize TeraMedica’s patented Smartstore module from its Evercore vendor neutral architecture.

The Smartstore module, which intelligently manages the total image lifecycle of all DICOM content, will be deployed at Vanderbilt University Medical Center starting with radiology and cardiology content. To enable clinical access and efficiency across Vanderbilt’s large and complex delivery system, a technology platform was needed for both patient-centered and cross patient content that could work within a Red Hat Linux operating system. In addition, TeraMedica will provide data migration services from Vanderbilt’s PACS as well as archiving capabilities.

“We are honored that Vanderbilt University Medical Center has named TeraMedica as its vendor neutral archive provider,” said Jim Prekop, TeraMedica’s President and CEO. “By doing so, Vanderbilt University Medical Center now joins the list of such prestigious institutions as the Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins Medicine, Duke University Health System, Stanford Hospital & Clinics, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and more to have selected our Evercore VNA. The addition of Vanderbilt and other highly-regarded institutions to our client base proves that TeraMedica is the vendor neutral archive of choice among leading academic centers.”

Evercore integrates and manages patient-centric clinical content including standard DICOM objects in the clinical and research settings across wide geographies. Evercore also possesses the ability to natively manage and distribute data beyond DICOM using global standards such as MPG, JPG, PDF and other critical clinical content such as treatment plans for cancer care and vital reports in non-standard formats.
