SoloHealth And Walmart To Demo The SoloHealth Station At The 2012 Health 2.0 Conference In San Francisco

Self-Service Health & Wellness Kiosk to Roll Out to Select Walmart Stores Beginning this Fall

SoloHealth, a consumer-driven healthcare technology company, announced recently that it will demo the SoloHealth Station kiosk during the Health 2.0 Conference taking place in San Francisco on Oct. 6-10. The SoloHealth Station, an interactive, comprehensive health and wellness screening kiosk for consumers, will roll out to select Walmart stores beginning this fall.

The SoloHealth Station will be on display during the Body 2.0 Expo, the conference’s first-ever consumer event offering the latest innovation and cutting-edge technologies in personal health. The Body 2.0 Expo takes place Sunday, Oct. 7, from 11am to 4pm, at the Terra Gallery in San Francisco. The Station will then move to the company’s booth for the remainder of the Health 2.0 Conference, where SoloHealth CEO & Founder Bart Foster will be speaking.

“We are excited to demonstrate the Station at one of the industry’s biggest events, as consumers across America will start seeing SoloHealth Stations at Walmart stores in the coming months,” said Foster. “Walmart shares our vision of bringing access and tools to consumers that empower them to take control of their health. We believe that awareness and education are keys to a healthy lifestyle, and we’re bringing a comprehensive self-service technology to consumers across America.”

The SoloHealth Station provides health screenings for vision, blood pressure, weight, and body mass index, a symptom checker as well as an overall health assessment free of charge. SoloHealth also helps connect consumers to local professionals through their databases, helping people enter the most appropriate and accurate point in the health care system.

A healthcare consumer engagement platform, the SoloHealth Station offers highly personalized, targeted and interactive opportunities for consumers, advertisers and retailers by placing kiosks in high-traffic retail locations and offering integration across a multi-platform ecosystem complete with digital signage, Internet, and mobile. The multiple-platform approach gives brand partners, consumers and medical professionals the ease of interaction from many touch points allowing for greater effectiveness and efficiencies.

The SoloHealth Station was recently honored with Intel’s coveted IT healthcare award, the “Intel Innovation Award,” that recognizes leading-edge technology and exceptional innovation for healthcare delivery and processes. The kiosk also received the FDA’s stamp of approval this past June.
