ScImage To Showcase New Image-Enabled EHR Capabilities At HIMSS

New feature delivers embedded diagnostic capabilities and two-way connectivity between ScImage’s Enterprise PACS and the patient’s Electronic Health Record (EHR)

ScImage will showcase its latest image-enabled EHR capabilities in Booth 7211 at the upcoming Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Conference and Exhibition, February 29 - March 4, 2016 in Las Vegas. Integrating ScImage’s PICOM365 Enterprise PACS with native EHR information improves clinical collaboration and access to patient data across the enterprise, resulting in enhanced efficiency and productivity.

An innovative leader for more than 20 years, ScImage provides a flexible, extendable, and scalable architecture that delivers true interoperability and expedites critical medical decisions. IntegratingScImage’s flexible PICOM365 architecture, which can accommodate all imaging specialties, providing image review, reporting and delivery within a common framework, expands the capabilities of EHR platforms and adds value to existing customers:

  • Provide complete diagnostic viewing and reporting capability within the EHR
  • Automatic population of discrete data sets
  • Transfer encapsulated PDF of report (including images & diagrams)
  • Direct HL7 integration of report
  • Bi-directional access and transfer of images and reports between PACS and the patient’s individual Electronic Health Record (EHR) with a single sign-on
  • Secure weblink to images and reports

“The functionality of EHRs has come a long way in the past several years, which explains why clinicians are spending more time in the EHR than ever before. As the EHR market matures, it is critical to expand functionality while enabling users to leverage their investment. Embedded diagnostic capabilities and complex reporting are critical components that remain largely untapped in today’s EHR environment – the result is reduced efficiency and collaboration,” said ScImage’s founder, Sai Raya, PhD. “ScImage is committed to working with all EHR providers to integrate imaging directly into the EHR with pure diagnostic capabilities.”
