The second generation Medi Port maintains the integrity of the original Medi Port as a powerful mobile computing platform enabled with high definition video conferencing capability which can be rolled anywhere it is needed – the OR, ER, hospital ward or outpatient clinic. The device allows remote medical specialists to view patients and provide expert counsel, especially important for rural clinics and field hospitals with limited medical staff. Live surgeries can be shared remotely for purposes of mentoring and training, and better diagnoses are enabled via bedside access to patient data and web-based resources.

As with the first generation product, the new Medi Port differentiates itself from other telemedicine carts by enabling customers to select the high definition camera of their choice, and integrates a computer platform to share external images during the videoconference.

The new Medi Port offers superior cable management to provide a sleeker, more compact appearance without the hazard of excess cords on the exterior of the cart.
