ProMedica Health System Chooses MEDSEEK To Transform Online Patient Experience

MEDSEEK, the leading provider of enterprise eHealth solutions that give patients, clinicians and administrative staff an optimal 360-degree online experience, has announced its engagement to develop and deploy ProMedica Health System's new consumer website as a first step toward improving the quality of care throughout its community.

"Within the next six to 12 months, we plan to launch our new consumer website, which will include enhanced interactivity and transactional opportunities for users," said Dave Selman, CIO at ProMedica Health System. "We will follow that within another six months by our patient portal. So we are looking at an 18-month timeline to completely transform the way we interact with the community, add value to our site and build patient and member loyalty."

MEDSEEK's team of eHealth Strategists initiated the ProMedica relationship with a consulting engagement that solidified the healthcare system's commitment to eHealth. "A key part of our initial engagement with MEDSEEK was the strategic workshops that included representatives from all the different companies within ProMedica," explained Selman. "The workshops helped us identify and prioritize critical needs, determine how to best use MEDSEEK modules within our consumer portal, and develop measurable goals for the project."

"Our eHealth Strategists' process gave us a comprehensive view of ProMedica's current situation and helped us understand where they were in their progress toward providing comprehensive eHealth," said Peter Kuhn, MEDSEEK CEO. "We are pleased to have the opportunity to work with ProMedica from inception to completion, from our eHealth Strategists all the way through to the complete eHealth ecoSystem."

"MEDSEEK has built solid relationships with members of our IT and communications departments, helping them to see the vision of what we could be offering to our patients and the community, as well as achieve a measurable return on that investment," said Selman.
