Press Ganey Launches Child HCAHPS Solution

Patient Experience Leader Expands Pediatric Offering

Press Ganey recently announced the launch of its Child Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems Hospital Survey (Child HCAHPS) survey solution, complementing the company’s Inpatient Pediatric solution and expanding its portfolio of industry-leading CAHPS solutions. As a partner to more than 140 children’s hospitals, Press Ganey has the largest pediatric-specific benchmarking database in the country and is uniquely suited to help organizations prepare for Child HCAHPS regulatory requirements and improve the pediatric patient and family experience.

The official Child HCAHPS survey, developed by the Agency for Health Care Research and Quality (AHRQ), was released in October 2014. The final survey includes 62 questions that cover 18 measures of the patient experience. Press Ganey offers solutions that meet regulatory requirements and can also incorporate additional measures to better understand parent or guardian perceptions of their child’s care.

“Children’s hospitals face unique challenges. They must be skilled not only in care delivery for the patient, but also in education and support for the family,” said Patrick T. Ryan, CEO, Press Ganey. “At Press Ganey, we are committed to offering the most comprehensive Child HCAHPS program to help our partners achieve their mission of reducing patient suffering and delivering family-centered care.”

In addition to providing the largest pediatric-specific benchmarking database, Press Ganey’s pediatric solutions also offer exclusive resources including online improvement tools and experienced advisors that partner with clients to drive performance improvement.
