This Amcom Software case study takes a look at PinnacleHealth System as they wanted to change their bed management and patient discharge process to increase staff efficiency and improve the patient experience. They also wanted to increase staff communications for patients on ventilators, particularly when these patients experienced respiratory distress because this required fast clinician response. All of these communications needed to be coordinated and then integrated with the technology already in place.

The solution provided was Amcom Messenger™, a HIPAA-compliant, FDA 501(K)-cleared clinical alerting software. This system can receive messages from ventilators and bed management systems and push alerts out to the right person's mobile device.
Currently PinnacleHealth is using a single Amcom Messenger system to alert all different types of staff in both of its hospitals, with plans to expand the solution to their new facility when it opens.
