Perceptive Software, creator of ImageNow enterprise content management software, announced recently that Lauren Bellon, R.N., has joined the company as vice president of healthcare solutions and strategy.

In this newly created executive position, Bellon will oversee the solutions and strategy for Perceptive Software's healthcare sector. Bellon joins Perceptive Software after spending 14 years at Cardinal Health Clinical Technologies and Services where she held many titles in both the operational and marketing sectors of the business. She spent the last four years as director of marketing for the Pyxis Medication Technology segment. Bellon's broad expertise will allow Perceptive Software to delve deeper into the needs of its healthcare customers in all areas of health information and business systems.

Bellon joins a Perceptive Software healthcare team that also includes Keli Rhodes, RHIA, healthcare solutions manager, who leads the software development cycle for solutions and functionality related to the healthcare industry. Rhodes has a bachelor's degree in Health Information Management and a master's degree in Management of Information Systems. Bellon and Rhodes' combined clinical knowledge will further strengthen Perceptive Software's clinical solutions and complement the company's HIM offerings.

"We are pleased to have Lauren leading the Perceptive Software healthcare team," said Scott Coons, president and CEO. "The expertise and knowledge she brings to our healthcare team will allow us to further expand our healthcare ECM solutions with the customer‘s needs in mind."

Perceptive Software ECM solutions help hospitals and healthcare enterprises achieve a proven, measurable impact on their operational efficiency through an innovative approach to solution development and deployment, starting with ongoing collaboration with customers, partners and industry experts. Ranked among the top three healthcare document management providers by KLAS the last two years, Perceptive Software healthcare solutions enable hospitals to connect staff with the information they need to do their jobs better and faster by making both paper and electronic information that normally resides outside the EMR, EHR and HIS accessible and actionable within it.

"I am truly excited to join the Perceptive Software team," said Bellon. "My objective is to expand on what is already a comprehensive healthcare offering and take it to another level by continuing to listen to our customers, delivering solutions that meet their needs, and strengthening our relationships with healthcare technology partners."

Flexible and scalable, Perceptive Software healthcare solutions integrate seamlessly with any healthcare application, clinical or back office. Perceptive Software healthcare industry partners include MEDITECH, Epic, Cerner, Eclipsys, Lawson and Oracle/PeopleSoft.

Perceptive Software recently became a partner of iPeople, deepening Perceptive's integration with MEDITECH applications. In August, Perceptive Software announced the release of ImageNow 6.4, which includes integration with Epic.
