CarePoint Health, of New Jersey, has signed a contract to deploy Lincor’s PatientLINC patient engagement technology in its three hospitals. The five-year agreement is expected to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes, reduce readmissions, and increase workflow efficiency.

Lincor’s state-of-the-art LINC OS platform will help CarePoint Health bring interactive education, communication, and entertainment directly to the bedside of its patients. “Lincor offers us the ability to transform the patient experience and care delivery by integrating the latest in entertainment, patient education, and access to our EMR at the bedside,” said Steve Goriah, corporate CIO for CarePoint. “In partnership with Lincor, we are working to develop innovative ways to improve our patients’ experience.”

PatientLINC enables CarePoint clinicians to display test results, scans, and charts for their patients as well as provide interactive educational materials designed to aid in discharge instruction adherence and to reduce readmission rates. The patient portal access additionally will help the health system meet Meaningful Use, all while delivering tech-savvy patients with entertainment options during their hospital stay.

“Today’s patients are also consumers, and hospitals must now meet the technology standards and expectations that patients and their loved ones bring to the healthcare experience,” said Chris Cashwell, senior VP of global marketing and sales for Lincor. “With PatientLINC, the ability to enhance the experience while focusing on clinical improvements is a win-win, and we’re excited to partner with CarePoint to further empower their patients and improve outcomes.”
