The Unitech PA600 Mobile Clinical Assistant (MCA) is a compact and rugged mobile computer with an integrated bar code scanner and high frequency RFID reader. Specifically designed for the healthcare industry, this innovative device features a rugged, antimicrobial enclosure.

To meet today's growing demand for the implementation of RFID and bar coding technology, the PA600 MCA enhances point-ofcare accuracy, efficiency and overall patient safety by reading RFID tags that verify nurse and patient identity, and recording the administration of drugs. It also reads identification bracelets with 2D bar codes to ensure all medical procedures, such as blood draw and medication distribution, are assigned to the correct person.

The PA600 MCA weighs just 11 ounces and is small enough to fit in a shirt pocket. It features a powerful 520MHz processor and Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system. Its IP64 rating makes the PA600 MCA resistant to dust and moisture, and its robust build can withstand multiple 4-foot drops to concrete.

The PA600 MCA is ergonomically designed to ensure easy operation and user comfort. A 3.5-inch color touch screen allows the operator to view more information about the RFID tags and bar codes that have been read, and an alphanumeric keypad makes data entry simple.
