Netsmart Clients Earn More Than $40M In Meaningful Use EHR Incentive Payments
Netsmart’s Ongoing Commitment to Meaningful Use Helps Health and Human Services Providers Enhance Quality of Care
Netsmart, the leading provider of clinical solutions for health and human services organizations, recently announced that Netsmart clients nationwide have passed the $40M mark in Medicaid incentive funds earned for the Meaningful Use of an Electronic Health Record (EHR).
The Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act provides significant financial incentives to behavioral health professionals who demonstrate meaningful use of certified EHR technology. Netsmart’s Complete ONC-ATCB certified EHRs enable provider organizations to meet all Meaningful Use criteria and qualify for funds through their Eligible Professionals, such as physicians and nurse practitioners.
“We’re proud to provide solutions that enable our clients to leverage technology to improve quality of care and clinical outcomes -- key goals of the Meaningful Use incentive program,” said Michael Valentine, chief executive officer, Netsmart. “In addition, our early investment in care coordination technology is enabling our clients to prepare now for Stage 2 Meaningful Use requirements and to use their systems to establish health homes, making them the leaders in this and other rapidly-evolving elements of performance-based, integrated care.”
Netsmart’s work in Meaningful Use initiatives supports the “Triple Aim” for healthcare system delivery improvement as outlined by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS):
- Better care for individuals
- Better health for populations
- Lower costs through continuous improvement
Netsmart offers a series of recorded web seminars about Meaningful Use for behavioral health/addiction services/social services providers and local health departments. To view the web seminars, visit www.ntst.com/meaningfuluse and select the Recorded Web Seminars tab.
