MEDL Retained To Mobilize Health Initiative From UCLA And University Of Michigan

Custom Mobile Developer to Collaborate With Health Education Leaders to Create Native Mobile Patient-Provider Portal for "My GI Health”

Fountain Valley, CA (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) - MEDL Mobile, Inc. (OTCBB:MEDL) – a pioneer in the creation, development, marketing and monetization of mobile apps – today announced that the company has been retained to create a native mobile experience for the My GI Health Patient-Provider Portal. My GI Health is a collaboration between the academic research institutions UCLA and the University of Michigan, researchers, educators, physicians, pharmaceutical companies and food and beverage companies.

My GI Health is a Patient-Provider Portal (P3) that provides clinicians with a comprehensive assessment and history of a patient's Gastro Intestinal (GI) symptoms, detailed data on patients' symptoms over time, and an educational prescription for each patient tailored to their specific needs, all accessible from the electronic health record (EHR) console. My GI Health condenses the patient's responses into reports for both the patient and provider.

Additionally, My GI Health provides the clinician with a clinical history that is translated into "doctor speak" and can be incorporated directly into the patient's electronic medical record. A provider is able to review both the patient's GI symptom scores and history to understand the patient's complaints before they enter the exam room, leaving more time for interaction and conversation with the patient.

The team from MEDL will work alongside the team from My GI Health to create an iOS7 optimized experience that enhances the existing platform with native iPhone and iPad functionality.

"The future of healthcare is clearly mobile," said Dave Swartz, MEDL Mobile Co-Founder. "We are thrilled that such prestigious organizations as UCLA and University of Michigan have chosen MEDL to extend their vision for a patient-physician relationship to the mobile device."
