Medicity's iNexx Meaningful Use Modules Receive ONC-ATCB Certification By Drummond Group

Modular Meaningful Use Capabilities Enable Streamlined Practice Workflow and Leverage Current Investment for ARRA Funding

Modules on Medicity's iNexx platform have received the federal government's "meaningful use" stamp of approval covering all general and ambulatory criteria along with numerous ambulatory clinical quality criteria required for certification. The designation officially deems the software capable of enabling providers to qualify for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Tested and certified under the Drummond Group's Electronic Health Records Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ONC-ATCB) program, the software is 2011/2012 compliant in accordance with the criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

iNexx is Medicity's platform technology for ambulatory care providers that enables intelligent integration into existing practice workflow and systems, while providing a seamless collaboration experience with external care team members. Because the platform is built on Medicity's patented smart infrastructure for multi-point, bi-directional exchange - the Novo Grid™ - iNexx inherently enables collaboration on patients through connected Grid(s).

"This certification ensures practices have the ability to build a complete and comprehensive solution that qualifies for meaningful use incentive dollars without significant impact on how they practice medicine," says Robert Connely, SVP of Innovation at Medicity. "Requirements can be met with iNexx modules alone or with virtually any existing practice management or electronic medical record system already in use by simply adding needed meaningful use capabilities as individual iNexx modules. This embraces the Clinical Groupware Collaborative ideals, avoiding unnecessary expense while assuring all components are ONC certified."

iNexx modules are 2011/2012 compliant and have been certified by Drummond Group, an ONC-ATCB approved to certify any complete or modular EHR both ambulatory and inpatient, in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The certified iNexx modules encompass all General Criteria (170.302 A through V), all Ambulatory Criteria (170.304 A through I), as well as Ambulatory Clinical Quality Measures NQF 0013, 0018, 0024, 0028, 0038, 0041, 0043, 0086, and 0421.

"We are extremely delighted to be among the early platform technologies to achieve modular certification," says J. Kipp Lassetter, MD, Medicity, CEO. "We believe that the kind of flexibility, connectivity options, and collaboration inherent in this approach lead the way to a new generation of innovation and collaboration implied in virtually everything the ONC has called for and funded to date."
