The Medical Center at Bowling Green in Bowling Green, KY has selected ProVation Medical Cardiology software for use in the facility’s cardiac catheterization labs. ProVation MD provides software for procedure guidance and documentation.

The software supports the downstream functions of procedures including coding, quality reporting, and compliance. ProVation MD software will automatically generate billing codes, personalized letters for referring physicians, patient instructions, quality registry submissions, data reports, and more after the procedure is complete, according to the company.

ProVation MD Cardiology automatically applies the appropriate reimbursement codes and disseminates procedure information, which, according to a news release, “maximizes reimbursement, reduces costs, and streamlines quality reporting while improving clinical communication and care coordination.” The software is backed by a library of medical content and is driven by the DocuDiagram feature, the release notes.

ProVation Medical is part of part of Wolters Kluwer Health, a global provider of information, business intelligence, and point-of-care solutions for the healthcare industry, which is part of Wolters Kluwer, a global information services company.

The Medical Center at Bowling Green is part of the Commonwealth Health Corporation and has 337 beds. It offers the only open-heart surgery program in Kentucky’s south-central region.
