LogiXML Partners With Nextgen Healthcare To Deliver Better Healthcare Reporting

Embedded BI Used to Build Healthcare Apps and Report on Meaningful Use

LogiXML, the pioneer of web-based business intelligence (BI), recently announced that NextGen Healthcare, a leading provider of healthcare information systems and connectivity solutions, used Logi Info to embed actionable analytics into its NextGen Dashboard product, providing its customers the ability to perform critical reporting on regulatory metrics, and to respond in real time.

After an extensive evaluation of numerous technologies, NextGen Healthcare selected Logi Info because of its flexible architecture, which enables NextGen HealthCare to preserve company brand and user experience. In addition to creating a broad range of new, seamless dashboard and reporting functionality, NextGen Healthcare was able to create an automated migration tool to pull over users’ existing custom dashboards.

“Our new Dashboard has an intuitive, streamlined appearance that is very easy to use and offers functionality that extends far beyond that of our competition. Logi Info allows us to pull data from multiple data sources, including third party, non-NextGen data. This strengthens our value proposition by enabling us to incorporate data across the entire care spectrum and show things such as clinical quality measures,” said Laura Anderson, Product Manager for NextGen Healthcare.

NextGen Dashboard displays a wide variety of benchmarks, including Key Performance Indicators (PKIs), which its customers use to gauge Meaningful Use performance. Eligible professionals must report these types of measurements to the US government in order to receive incentive payments. The NextGen application lets its customers apply different thresholds for these measurements, so that if they fall below any of them, they can leverage the new alerts and reminders features.

“The days of static reports, isolated tools, and restricted BI deployments are numbered. Companies now want immediate, accessible, and actionable analytics that correspond with the decisions that drive their businesses every day,” said Brett Jackson, CEO, LogiXML. “NextGen Healthcare is a perfect example of how embedded business intelligence from LogiXML makes data visualization a fully integrated part of the applications, portals, and devices used to execute on daily operational decisions.”

NexGen Healthcare users are able to update NextGen Dashboard to view performance across financial, clinical and regulatory information. The Analysis Grid is also available at the top of all NextGen Dashboards, enabling users to sort, group, and add formulas to slice and dice data. The NextGen Dashboard then updates corresponding panels at the bottom. Additionally, users can customize NextGen Dashboards by adding or removing panels, which can then be saved.

In 2011 and 2012, LogiXML was positioned in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence Platforms, where its products ranked among the highest for ease of use, overall product functionality, support, product quality, performance, and customer experience.
