iSirona Announces Enterprise-Wide Licensing Of Its Connectivity Solution At University Health System In San Antonio

iSirona, a provider of simplified solutions for medical device integration, recently announced that University Health System has licensed iSirona's device connectivity solution for rollout to all of its 24 clinics, hospitals and outpatient facilities.

University Health System has been named one of the Top 25 Connected Healthcare Facilities in the U.S. by Health Imaging & IT Magazine, and one of Health Care's Most Wired hospitals for leveraging health information technology in "new and envelope-pushing ways" according to Hospitals & Health Networks Magazine.

University Health System began integrating its electronic medical record system in 2006, achieved a validated Stage 6 ranking in the HIMSS Analytics EMR Adoption Model in 2007 and began using iSirona's medical device integration solution in 2010. "Our experience with iSirona's solution has been consistently nothing but positive," says Bill Marsh, director of clinical information systems at University Health System. "Data is more accurate and efficiency has increased because our clinicians aren't keying data anymore."

Dave Dyell, CEO of iSirona, adds, "We designed our solution for flexibility, from small hospitals to multi-facility systems such as University Health System. They have previously worked with other connectivity solutions, and their adoption of iSirona on an enterprise basis confirms that we have achieved our goal of providing them with flexible device integration."
