Honeywell HomMed Brings The Hospital Into The Home With Its Telehealth Solutions

Products and Services Featured at ATA 2013 Extend Medical Oversight

Honeywell HomMed’s products and services, featured in Booth #1042 and hospitality suite #468 at the 2013 American Telemedicine Association (ATA) Convention, continue to redefine the reach of telehealth solutions, bringing the hospital into the patient’s home.

Honeywell’s offerings enhance quality of care and usability for patients, families and providers, as well as improve productivity for clinicians and physicians across a wide range of geographical and clinical settings.

Throughout the show, Honeywell representatives will demonstratethe company’sinnovative technologies and discuss how telehealth is positively impactingthe healthcare industry;

To that end, the company will feature four “SmarTalk”thought leadership presentations by Honeywell executives and industry experts for show attendees. SmarTalks will runevery hour, on the hour, in Honeywell’s Hospitality Suite (#468) throughout exhibit hall hours on Monday, May 6t and Tuesday, May 7t:

  • 10 a.m.and 2 p.m.:Healthcare Reform &the Growth of ACO’s:  An overview of the new ways in which telehealth and eHealth are earning their mettle in the healthcare reform initiative, with particular emphasis on best-practice utilization within growing ACO’
  • 11 a.m.: Telehealth Program Optimization – An Overview of Best Practices:  A summary of industry-wide best practices utilized throughout the healthcare continuum, demonstrating how telehealth is changing care delivery. 
  • Noon and 3 p.m.: The Role of Technology in Patient-Centered Care: An overview of how the telehealth industry is creating the framework for people tomove into their golden years in whatever places and spaces they choose.
  • 1p.m.: Face-to-Face-- How Video is Impacting the Care Delivery Model: An overview of how the utilization of video in the telehealthcare model is allowing patients to have more control over their care, from video visits with physicians and clinicians to conference calls with healthcare providers and family, and educational opportunities through streamed video content.

Honeywell HomMed president John Bojanowski will be around-table participant in the Market Watch panel session titled “Not All Telehealth Markets Are Equal.”The forumwill feature findings on the current state of the telehealth industry, including insights on major telehealth sectors. The panel will evaluate key differences and similarities between top market verticals, examining the challenges, business models, as well as the current state of the telehealth market, what is in store for the future, and growth prospects. The panel will begin at 4:15 PM on Monday, May 6tin Ballroom E during the Finance and Operations session track.

  • LifeStream Management Suite - Honeywell HomMed is also featuring the most recent release (v4.10) of one of its leading telehealth portfoliosolutions – LifeStream Management Suite – a robust software platformthat provides the behind-the-scenes supportfor care providers to maintain oversight of HomMed’s personal health devices.LifeStream Management Suite was created and designed around the need for improved workflows among healthcare providers.
  • LifeStream mPERS - Honeywell is also featuring its mobile Personal Emergency Response System (mPERS), which integrates withthe LifeStream Management Suite. The system offers enhanced user flexibility by providing the choice of a mobile unit, a traditional base stationunit, or both, as well as a pendant or wrist button.  A push of the button automatically connects the user to an emergency operator, who can send help to the user’s exact location.
