Honeywell HomMed And eDevice Expand Connectivity Solutions For Telehealth

Honeywell, HomMed, a world leader in telehealth and remote patient care, recently announced the expansion of its partnership with eDevice to bring extended connectivity to its LifeStream remote patient care system and Genesis DM monitor.

The new bundle will further increase the benefits of telehealth monitoring for patients and healthcare providers by offering greater access to health information utilizing existing network coverage at the patient's location.

The Genesis DM telehealth device measures vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, weight, and SPo2, and provides customizable subjective disease-related queries for a more complete picture of an individual's health. Automated and secure transfer of medical and vital signs records is made using eDevice eHealth data communication terminals and modules.

Designed for use at a patient's home for continuous health monitoring, it provides greater access to health information, enhancing efficiency and improving patient outcomes.

"International eDevice multi-network services and products provide a unique end-to-end solution for national and worldwide eHealth roll-out projects." said Terry Duesterhoeft, president of Honeywell HomMed. Thanks to eDevice solutions, Honeywell HomMed offers one of the broadest ranges of connectivity options in the telehealth industry, which allows care providers to simplify their roll-out while reducing costs and improving the patient's experience.

"Such innovative eHealth solutions are part of the solution for improving quality of care for ageing populations. In the future policy makers shall certainly take into consideration the financial benefits resulting from innovative mHealth solutions." said Marc Berrebi, eDevice CEO.
