The Certify HealthDock® is more than just an HL7 listening device. It is a state-of-the-art edge server built to meet the demands of deploying and servicing enterprise HIE across thousands of physicians’ offices all using different EMRs.

Technology deployment made easy
Through five years of product development with hundreds of physicians and leading healthcare systems, Certify has perfected a product that is as easy to deploy in a single practioner’s office as it is in a multispecialty group practice with hundreds of physicians. The HealthDock® edge server is client-ready out of the box and requires only minimal configuration to connect the physician with the hospital’s inpatient systems. The HealthDock® establishes a secure “handshake” with Certify’s Gateway in the hospital’s data center using SSL, 256-bit encryption with public and private keys. All communication is handled securely over the Internet without the need for a VPN. Once a trusted relationship is established between the physician’s HealthDock®and the hospital’s Certify Gateway, a port-to-port connection is established behind the physician’s firewall between the HealthDock® and the physician’s EMR. This approach, combined with pre-built EMR libraries resident on the HealthDock®, have significantly streamlined the process and customization required, and lowered the cost to interface with third-party ambulatory EMRs.

Certify’s HealthDock® edge servers are revolutionizing the HIE industry by enabling real-time access to clinical information stored in disparate IT systems across a community. The HealthDock® includes an XDS.b repository and registry that stage vital clinical information from any EMR to be accessed by all trusted partners in the community. Through IHE standard PIX and PDQ queries, providers have immediate access to their patients' health information in their own native systems at the point of care. Health systems and their affiliated physicians have immediate access to the information they need, when they need it.
