HealthCo Information Systems Chooses Rio Networks
Rio Networks, an Oregon owned and operated data, phone and cloud services provider is providing Internet, phone and data services to HealthCo Information Systems, an electronic medical records provider.
Portland, Ore (PRWEB) - Rio Networks, an Oregon owned and operated data, phone and cloud services provider, today announced it is providing Internet, phone and data services to HealthCo Information Systems, an electronic medical records provider.
“We chose Rio for a few reasons,” said HealthCo General Manager Dustin Wienecke. “The first consideration was cost which Rio was very favorable on. We also were excited about the technology of the platform and our ability to interact with it. Finally, I like doing business with local companies and felt confident in the funding of Rio over the long term.”
HealthCo Information Systems provides medical software solutions, specializing in Electronic Medical Records and Practice Management Systems for small to medium sized medical clinics throughout the central and western United States.
According to Wienecke, the company previously used a digital phone system that used two T1 lines which the company removed after transitioning to Rio. The installation also no longer required space for the PBX that was internal to their office. These changes streamlined the physical space and costs associated with the old system.
“As I understand it, we have an atypical installation,” said Wienecke. “We house everything internally within our network infrastructure utilizing a virtual machine environment for hosting. Rio provided setup assistance, staff training, and initial ‘Go Live’ support. By far, the Go Live support was most impressive with their ability to answer many of the challenges that came up.”
“This was the perfect solution to show the significance of what the ‘Next Generation’ business telephone system delivers,” said Mark Bilton-Smith, president of Rio Networks. “Software as a service (Saas) combined with Voice-over-Internet-Protocol (VoIP) business telephone sets drove the decision in delivering the enterprise business telephone system of the future. HealthCo was able to leverage their current redundant virtual platform to deliver their mission critical software applications and simply add software to it to deliver a redundant enterprise business telephone system at a fraction of the cost of the closest competition.“
