“Having a certified 2014 Edition Modular Inpatient EHR further strengthens the value HMS creates for Customers by delivering the clinical and financial solutions they need for patient care, safety and operational efficiency,” said Steve Starkey, president and chief operating officer of HMS. “We’re proud to partner with our Customers as we navigate the changing landscape of healthcare. At HMS, we are focused on delivering the best in clinical, financial and data-sharing technology to providers while helping deliver the highest level of patient care possible.”
Drummond Group’s ONC-ACB certification program certifies that EHRs meet the Meaningful Use criteria for either eligible provider or hospital technology. In turn, healthcare providers using the EHR systems of certified vendors are qualified to receive federal stimulus monies upon demonstrating Meaningful Use of the technology – a key component of the federal government’s push to improve clinical care delivery through the adoption and effective use of EHRs by U.S. healthcare providers.
Healthcare Management Systems, Inc. v12, which met the requirements for EHR Modular Inpatient certification, is designed to provide community hospitals with the efficient tools they need to improve the clinical documentation process as a component of enhancing overall patient care, safety and satisfaction. The EHR from HMS helps put providers on the path to attestation for the 2014 Edition of Meaningful Use, and helps them comply with the federal government’s healthcare IT guidelines.
This EHR module is 2014 Edition-compliant and has been certified by an ONC-ACB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
