Healthcare Business Intelligence Company, Emergency Medicine Business Intelligence, Closes First Round Of Funding

New York /PRNewswire/ - Emergency Medicine Business Intelligence (EMBI), a leading Software-as-a-Service healthcare performance dashboard and analytics solution provider, has secured growth financing from industry veterans Howard Goldstein of Cortlandt Private Capital, John Martinson, and Parag Saxena's Beta Operators Fund.

According to Howard Goldstein, Managing Partner of Cortlandt Private Capital, "We are excited to be entering the healthcare business intelligence space with EMBI's co-founders Scott Richards and Jonathan Rothman.  They have done a great job building and validating the market for their solutions.  What is unique about EMBI in this space is their client loyalty, satisfaction, and retention.  The company has grown organically and our investment will provide the means to accelerate their growth and take the company to the next level."

Since its inception in 2010, EMBI's cloud-based real-time and retrospective performance dashboards, key metric analytics, and peer benchmarks have enabled more than 20 healthcare organizations more effectively manage their emergency departments and other clinical service lines.  In KLAS' November 2012 Research Report – Business Intelligence - Influencing Change?, one of EMBI's clients was quoted: "In the first six months we increased our relative value units by 25%–30% because of EMBI's system.  And we will probably make $1.5 million more this year."

"There are a lot of reasons for us to be excited about closing this round of funding with this group of investors, states Scott Richards, CEO.  Having the capital necessary to aggressively expand our sales and market presence, as well as advance our leadership in performance dashboards and analytics are keys to our growth.  However, the experience and networks Howard, John, and Parag bring to us at this stage of our company's life cycle is priceless."
