PrimeSUITE's Advanced API Platform Accelerates the Velocity of Innovation

Greenway Medical Technologies, Inc., provider of the integrated electronic health record (EHR), practice management and interoperability solution PrimeSUITE® 2011, recently announced the availability and launch of Greenway Marketplace™.

Through its partner services platform, Greenway Marketplace allows technology partners to build upon PrimeSUITE's application programming interface (API) to accelerate the delivery of innovations to Greenway's more than 33,000 healthcare provider customers in a mutually low cost and customized delivery structure.

Greenway® is to feature Greenway Marketplace at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Annual Conference & Exhibition Feb. 21-24 in Las Vegas, at Greenway booth #4207.

"The annual or relegated release of proprietary functionality seen throughout our industry no longer meets the needs of our evolving healthcare system," said President and CEO Tee Green. "Through Greenway Marketplace, we can unlock the innovation of solutions and services to our customers, while anticipating and increasing the velocity of delivery to also meet the healthcare IT needs of emerging care coordination programs and payer models."

iTriage, for example, is a leading smartphone healthcare application that allows patients to access Microsoft HealthVault Personal Health Records on their mobile device, as well as search symptoms, diseases, procedures and medications. PrimeSUITE's integration with HealthVault furthers that direct provider-patient information flow within the EHR for instant clinical access and evaluation.

"We're excited to bring iTriage's consumer-facing mobile application to the Greenway family of solutions. As a partner, iTriage has found PrimeSUITE's comprehensive and well-documented API ideal for rapidly developing value-added solutions to the PrimeSUITE platform," said Peter Hudson, MD, co-founder of iTriage. "Future plans include a consumer-driven, integrated appointment setting capability."

EHR Solutions provides its EHRnotify technology that automates the text, email and calling placement of patient reminders for appointments; lab results; that a patient's electronic prescription has been submitted and other information flows. The integrated notification eliminates interfaces, reports and uploads through a simple patient flagging system.

"We've been very pleased with the speed of delivery Greenway has provided with API-enhanced solutions, announced to us as an initiative at the company's annual PrimeLEADER conference just last fall," said Kevin Spencer, MD, of Greenway customer site Premier Family Physicians of Austin, Texas. "EHRnotify streamlines workflows and impacts patient engagement as well as adherence to care plans."

Phreesia, the patient check-in company, streamlines the patient check-in process, helping medical practices increase cash flow and save staff time. With its wireless touchscreen PhreesiaPad, the solution allows medical practices to collect patient information effortlessly, electronically verify insurance and collect payments both at the point of care and outside of the office. Phreesia offers a seamless, bi-directional integration with PrimeSUITE.

"Greenway is a wonderful partner. We have found the PrimeSUITE API very easy to integrate with, and we are excited to have access to Greenway's national customer base," said Phreesia CEO Chaim Indig. "With Greenway's technology and Phreesia's comprehensive patient check-in solution, we are helping medical practices increase cash flow and save staff time. Together, we are enhancing clinical outcomes and optimizing business performance with one integrated and streamlined solution."
