Simple Solution for a Complex Problem
Since 1992, FormFast has been the leader in Electronic Forms Management in healthcare, helping hospitals eliminate pre-printed forms and streamline the printing of admission packets and other documentatation. Managing pre-printed forms is not only expensive considering the cost of the paper documents and storage, but is time-consuming. Plus the use of obsolete orders, consents, and other forms puts the hospital at risk for liability issues.
FormFast offers its FastPrint platform to enable hospital staff to intelligently output up-to-date eForms (created in Form Designer). FastPrint communicates with hospital software such as the HIS system to determine what forms the patients needs based on pre-defined criteria. The eForms are grouped and intstantly printed to the appropriate printer(s) or printer tray.
Preparing Documents for the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Most hospitals are working to implement a paperless electronic medical record (EMR) system. However, the transition is a lengthy process, so FastPrint is used to prepare documents in advance of the EMR being fully implemented.
FastPrint is able to capture data from the HIS system and imprint the necessary patient demographics onto the form, eliminating the need for embossers or demographic labels. FormFast also generates barcodes based on patient information which are used to index the completed form for scanning into the electronic medical record.
Print On-Demand
In many cases, hospital staff may need to print documents as needed after the initial admission process. FormFast has a solution for that as well. Take a look at FormImprint and Web FormImprint for on-demand printing.
