Rockville, MD (PRWEB) - Global Record Systems, LLC of Rockville, MD, a new company dedicated to developing and marketing innovative health care information technology solutions to physicians, clinical researchers and other health care organizations on a global basis, announced today the acquisition of the eCastEMR® electronic medical record platform and service business from eCast Corporation of Raleigh, NC.

Global Record Systems will launch software that allows data from health care records to be analyzed, compared and understood in new ways including the potential for application in clinical research.

Through the transaction, Global Record Systems acquires the eCastEMR® software, a web-based EMR system, the physician customer base and the data from multi-million patient records generated to date in the U.S.
