Eclipsys Recognized By KLAS As Leading In Physician CPOE Adoption

Underscoring its strong industry position to help healthcare organizations achieve "meaningful use," Eclipsys Corporation, The Outcomes Company, recently announced that KLAS has reported that the company leads the industry in the number of physicians using its computerized physician order entry (CPOE) system in acute care hospitals and the percentage of its client base deeply using CPOE. The recently enacted American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) offers federal incentives to hospitals and providers for achieving "meaningful use of an electronic health record (EHR)." • 24 percent of all CPOE-using physicians in acute care hospitals utilize Eclipsys.
• Eclipsys has the second highest number of non-employed physicians doing CPOE with its system.
