With e-Forms Repository (EFR), pre-printed patient services forms are replaced with electronic versions. that authorized users print on demand. EFR maintains a catalog of documents required for functions such as admissions and discharge, billing, pharmacy orders and nursing. The Access forms automation suite comes with a library of more than 3,200 forms, each of which customers can customize or use as is.

When a form is needed, the user accesses a computer terminal and selects a patient or patients. After selection, a list of form groups and their associated forms is displayed. The user then selects the desired forms, and selects print. The EFR automatically merges the patient data received from the HIS into the electronic forms.

With a single keystroke, the user can digitally distribute the completed form anywhere in the hospital via print, e-mail or fax, or directly port to the document management/imaging system.

An intuitive forms designer makes it easy to create new forms and customize existing ones. Instead of paying a vendor or relying on an in-house print shop to produce large quantities of forms that may quickly become obsolete, administrators can print on demand from EFR to any compatible printer.

Managing forms in the central EFR eliminates the problems caused by unauthorized, outdated and duplicate forms that are common with a paper-based system.

Multi-level security privileges ensure that only authorized users have the ability to access EFR, and the actions they can perform are also controlled by the system administrator. This not only reduces costs and paper wastage but also eliminates the need for time-consuming forms delivery. So staff members, your budget and the environment all win with Access forms automation.

"Access's e-Forms Repository enables us to print forms as needed, and we no longer have to print labels and waste time sticking them on each form. We've also cut down on wasted paper stock."
