Conversa Health Names Anna-Lisa Silvestre As Chief Marketing Officer
20-year veteran in online health care services will keep users of Conversa’s cloud-based platform connected and informed by driving innovation through digital channels
Conversa Health, which helps physicians manage their relationships with patients through its digital care platform, recentlynamed Anna-Lisa Silvestre as Chief Marketing Officer. Silvestre brings over 30 years of experience in health care, with 20 years focused on digital health services. As vice president of online services at Kaiser Permanente, she spearheaded development and user adoption of the award-winning www.kp.org portal, which connects over 4 million members with their physicians and medical records, and provides them with the ability to manage their family’s health care.
At Conversa, Silvestre’s focus will be creating a consumer experience that supports patients’ becoming moreinvolved in their care, leading to stronger doctor-patient relationships and better health. Silvestre will oversee the use of insights from Conversa’s analysis of patient-generated data to continually refine digital care protocols. Silvestre’s other responsibilities include brand and marketing communications, market analytics and voice of the user research. She will report to Conversa Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder West Shell III.

Before joining Conversa, Silvestre was president of Oakland, Calif.-based Carbella and Associates, where she served asan advisor and consultant to organizations interested in creating compelling digital offerings for individuals and groups.
In addition to leading efforts to drive Kaiser Permanente’s user base to over 4 million users, Silvestre oversawproduct development, integration with physician workflow in the electronic health record, and connectivity with key systems to provide access to online medical records, self-service offerings and key transactions (refill, appointments, e-mail) for patients. She also oversaw digital offerings for brokers, employer customers and employees. Silvestre laid the groundwork for www.kp.org by leading research and development to test new models of communication between patients, their care team and patient-patient support groups.
Silvestre is an internationally known keynote speaker on the topics of consumer health engagement and developing and managing patient portals. She has a master’s degree in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BSin Sociology from the University of Oregon.
