Chicago's First Physician-Led ACO Selects Imperium Health As Management Partner

Chicago, IL /PRNewswire/ -- Independent Physicians' ACO of Chicago, LLC (IPACO), Cook County's first physician-led accountable care organization, has selected Imperium Health Management, of Louisville, KY as its exclusive ACO management partner to help achieve IPACO's vision of becoming a national leader in transforming healthcare and achieving the three-part aim of lower healthcare costs, improved quality, and improved population health.

Led by CEO John Venetos , MD, IPACO is comprised of 130 independent physicians, and was recently approved by the Center for Medicare Services to participate in the Medicare Shared Savings Program, effective January 1, 2013. An additional 50 physicians have contacted IPACO and expressed interest in joining.
