Burst IQ & Connetix Health Announce First Blockchain-Based Personal Health Record Application

The product suite combines BurstIQ’s blockchain enablement platform and health marketplace with Connetix Health’s next generation PHR technology, mCharts. The partnership enables users to automatically collect and manage health records, while providing absolute control over viewing, sharing, and monetization of their data.

Earlier this year, BurstIQ released its platform SDK and opened its developer community in a private beta program, and Connetix Health is among the first companies to take advantage of its market-leading blockchain ecosystem. Connetix Health’s PHR application, mCharts, enables users to automatically download records from medical providers into BurstIQ’s highly secure big data blockchain, BurstChain™. Health information is enriched and displayed in easy-to-understand views using a visual body map and scrolling timeline. The mCharts distributed application is a first-of-its kind solution that lets users build and maintain a universal view of health, while enabling sharing and monetization for the specific benefit of the user that owns the data. Using BurstIQ’s standard platform APIs, Connetix was able to integrate the mCharts app onto the platform in under two weeks.
