AOD Software Demonstrates Live In HIMSS15 ONC/FHA Interoperability Showcase

Live demo with Inofile connects HIE, network RHIO and senior care for connectivity and quality improvement across the continuum

AOD Software, delivering the industry’s leading integrated software solution to senior care providers, recently announced that its Answers EHR will be featured in the ONC/FHA Interoperability Showcase at the national HIMSS15 Conference and Expo. Partnering with Inofile, AOD will use the Kno2 clinical document exchange platform to demonstrate live interoperability that connects senior care organizations with other providers either directly or via HIE or other regional health information organizations.

Using XDR, Answers EHR will show the ability of senior care organizations to currently retrieve clinical documents and connect with other organizations in the continuum, such as HIEs and hospitals. Through proactive interconnectivity that strengthens and improves inter-provider communication, caregivers can establish a complete and accurate individualized care plan while reducing overall healthcare costs and greatly increasing the care a resident receives.

“As providers, ACOs and stakeholders across the continuum look to implement quality improvement initiatives and reduce care costs, long-term care plays a vital role in connectivity,” said Aric Agmon, CEO of AOD Software. “We are looking forward to demonstrating our proven ability to create a collaborative, connected care environment and approach to outcome-based care.”

Answers interfaces bi-directionally into the HIE, supporting both HL7 and CCD standards. Through its consolidated view of the resident’s medical history and medications that includes all provider information, senior care organizations can reduce complications and build resident trust.

“Using query-based and direct exchange, provider reports are received electronically into Answers EHR in real-time,” said Charles George, CTO of AOD Software. “In addition to the workflow benefits of a fully interoperable EHR, this allows for a seamless, complete and accurate care assessment that reduces resident care disruptions and risk.”
