Alpha II Tapped By Medical Software Provider Data Strategies, Inc. For Claim Scrubbing Technology Integration
Data Strategies’ MDsuite to be integrated with Alpha II’s ClaimStaker for extensibility, flexibility
Alpha II, a leader in healthcare coding, compliance and reimbursement, announced recently that it has been selected by Data Strategies, Inc. to integrate ClaimStaker into MDsuite, its certified, complete ambulatory EHR and practice management system. The Poway, Calif.-based company will launch the integrated claim scrubbing solution to its clients in fall 2012.
MDsuite is an integrated healthcare system for physician’s offices that features certified electronic health records and practice management including billing and scheduling features.
“In Alpha II, we found a full-featured solution that we were not finding in other claim scrubbers. The functionality of ClaimStaker, including advanced rule-editing capabilities and insurance plan-specific rules, now enables us to offer our clients full control over their claims and reimbursement. This will really make a difference,” says Les Jacobs, CEO of Data Strategies, Inc.
Alpha II’s ClaimStaker will allow MDsuite clients to scrub medical claim files for accuracy prior to submission, improving validity, boosting cash flow and demonstrating clinical defensibility. ClaimStaker accepts claim files created by most hospital billing and practice management systems. It requires no change to existing programming—end users maintain their existing billing software and no duplicate data entry is necessary.
“We’re really looking forward to our partnership with Data Strategies and diving into implementation this fall,” says Stuart Newsome, vice president, business development of Unicor Medical, one of the software development companies behind the Alpha II cobranded solution. “A hallmark of our service and product is our flexibility, and with MDsuite’s practice management and EHR offerings that must satisfy and improve technical and clinical outcomes, flexibility is paramount.”
