AirStrip One Cardiology Launches For Windows 8.1
AirStrip offers first and only mobile cardiac care solution to operate on all Windows 8.1 devices, including Microsoft Surface tablet; Palomar Health to act as pilot site
Marking the first major solution development in its Microsoft AppsForSurface program participation, mobile healthcare leader AirStrip has announced the launch of AirStrip ONE Cardiology for all hardware using the Windows 8.1 operating system. This includes the Microsoft Surface tablet and a variety of other mobile devices, as well as laptops and desktops.
AirStrip made the announcement at the start of this week’s Health 2.0 Fall Conference where CEO Alan Portela is presenting at a session Wednesday afternoon, demonstrating the power of AirStrip ONE during this showcase of cutting-edge innovation that is transforming health care. AirStrip was also featured in the Doctors 2.0 pre-conference session on September 29, highlighting AirStrip ONE and participating in a panel discussion around innovation for the clinicians who are driving technological change.
AirStrip ONE Cardiology is the company’s first release for Windows 8.1, with announcements about other AirStrip mobile clinical solutions coming in the near future.
“Mobility is no longer defined as just smartphones and tablets. This release of AirStrip ONE Cardiology for Windows 8.1 supports our vision of developing a consistent and seamless user experience for mobile clinical professionals, regardless of form factor,” Portela said. “Enabling clinicians to access vital data from across the care continuum in a single unified format will result in an increase in mobile utilization, helping to drive transformation toward higher quality, more efficient care that mitigates the increasing pressures on a fast-changing healthcare system.”
“Microsoft is pleased to support the launch of AirStrip ONE Cardiology on the Windows 8.1 platform to support a seamless, enterprise-class experience for clinical medical professionals across a variety of secure mobile devices, including Surface,” said Neil Jordan, general manager of Health for Microsoft Worldwide Public Sector. “Today’s launch is the first step toward bringing the full AirStrip solution suite to the Windows 8.1 platform, which promises to strengthen patient care and support secure clinical collaboration across the continuum.”
Palomar Health, the largest public health-care district in California and the most comprehensive health care delivery system in northern San Diego County, will act as the pilot site for AirStrip ONE Cardiology for Windows as part of an innovation lab partnership between Palomar Health and AirStrip.
“We look forward to helping drive this exciting new phase of healthcare transformation, which will include an AirStrip ONE Cardiology solution that incorporates a variety of additional data sources and functionality,” said Orlando Portale, chief innovation officer for Palomar Health.
