AHIMA Member Named California Deputy Secretary Of The Health Information Exchange
The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) congratulates Pamela Lane, RHIA, MS, CPHIMS, of Fairfield, Calif., who has been appointed deputy secretary of the health information exchange at the California Health and Human Services Agency. As an active member of AHIMA for 25 years, Lane remains passionate about advancing the health information profession.

Lane, a Navy veteran who served in the Gulf War, has served as the vice president of health informatics at the California Hospital Association since 2007. She was senior director of revenue cycle management at NorthBay Healthcare from 2005 to 2007, director of business operations and health information management at Lompoc Healthcare District from 2001 to 2005, a senior installation specialist at Quadramed Corporation from 1998 to 2005 and director of health information management at the Westerly Hospital from 1992 to 1998.
Lane, appointed by Gov. Edmund G. Brown, Jr., will start her appointment Feb. 17.
