Source: MEDHOST

Health IT Outcomes was at HIMSS15 in Chicago broadcasting live from the show floor and recording podcasts with key exhibitors. Health IT Voices hosts Todd Schnick and Kelly Riggs spoke with many of healthcare's most influential leaders in order to keep you current on the latest technology and people driving health IT.

In this podcast, Hamilton General Hospital physician Dr. Randy Lee looks back to when Hamilton General decided to tackle Meaningful Use. Hamilton attested to Stage 1 as an early adopter and Lee explains why such an aggressive approach was taken as well as what feedback physicians offered during the process and how that information was managed. Lee goes on to describe how, after Stage 1, Hamilton was able to keep the momentum going when it rolled right into Stage 2. Lee also details where Hamilton is on its EHR journey and what challenges he sees now and on the horizon. He closes by reviewing which MEDHOST products Hamilton currently leverages and what he sees as the most important part of Hamilton’s relationship with MEDHOST.
