2014 Health IT Change Agents

Healthcare Change AgentsThere’s no denying it. The U.S. healthcare system is in dire need of repair. Health IT will be a huge part of the solution, but it must constantly evolve to meet the needs of the market, providers, and patients. That’s where a select group of individuals and organizations comes in. These visionaries push the boundaries of what can be done with health IT and lead the charge for positive change. We call these influential few Health IT Change Agents.

Health IT Outcomes will recognize the top Health IT Change Agents for 2014 in the November issue of its magazine and we’re currently accepting nominations. If you know an individual or organization worthy of such a distinction (or feel you’re a change agent yourself) now’s your chance to submit your nomination. Entries will be judged by an assembled panel of health IT experts and the Health IT Outcomes editorial staff. Winners will be prominently featured in the November 2014 issue of our magazine as well as on our website and e-mail newsletter.

From our perspective, the following traits exemplify a Health IT Change Agent:

  • They must push conventional health IT boundaries, challenge the status quo, lead the charge for positive change through health IT, and be highly influential
  • They must have a clear vision and effectively communicate this vision with others
  • They must be knowledgeable about health IT and lead by example

Nominations should demonstrate how an individual or organization embodies these traits as entries will be judged based on these criteria.

A Health IT Change Agent can be just about anyone — a hospital CIO, a physician, a vendor executive, government official, etc. A hospital, health system, or health IT vendor can also be recognized as a Change Agent if compelling evidence is provided to support this claim. The nomination period ends at 5 PM 9/15. Submit your nomination today.
