Healthcare Trends Driving Change

Prism International offers suite of products and services to help staff manage the changes occurring in healthcare.

The ever-shifting demographics, heightened patient and community expectations of care, changing regulations, and expanded use of technology in today’s healthcare landscape require professionals increase their inclusion and cultural competence.

To meet these challenges, workplace training and education consultancy Prism International has launched the HealthCare Inclusion & Cultural Competencies Suite.

The company says the six-product suite helps medical staff to better understand the impact of the trends driving changes in healthcare; recognize their own perceptions, assumptions and biases, as well as the impact on the staff and on patient care; approach their colleagues and the bed side with expanded cultural competence; and refocus their behavior on building and supporting a culture of engagement, cooperation, trust and respect.

Of particular interest to professionals is the IMPACT Roadmap, which is a new accelerated learning methodology that allows staff members to engage in, absorb, and practice new insights and tools to drive higher levels of patient satisfaction, patient safety, increased quality outcomes, community partnerships, increased revenue and decreased costs and disparities.

Other aspects of the suite include training modules to increase knowledge and implementation of diversity, inclusion, and cultural competency to strengthen your healthcare environment.

The company states, “Race, culture, heritage, experience, background, ethnicity, language, and personal history all affect the way in which we interact with one another and care for our patients. Knowing about and bridging the differences through trust, compassion, and equality assist in increasing patient satisfaction, safety, and clinical outcomes and decrease disparities.”
