MerckManuals.com Customizes Medical Information For Its Dual Audiences

When health professionals and consumers seek current and credible medical information, they can now access it from the same authoritative web site.

The interactive online resource, allows users to select from two options on its landing page: one with advanced content designed for health professionals and the other with the same subject matter translated into easy-to-understand language for consumers.

Among its multimedia features are infographics, animations, video clips, health calculators and trackers, detailed color illustrations, quizzes, and a guide to pronunciation of medical terms.

The new offering builds on a tradition of trust, which began in 1899 when Merck & Co., Inc. published the first Merck Manual, a medical reference for doctors. Now in its 19th edition, the book is the work of more than 350 independent contributors, all experts in their fields.
