Indiana Health Information Exchange Selects Diameter Health Technology Platform

Market Enabling Healthcare Technology Firm to Pilot Standardized, Certified Data to Enable Clinical Analytics and Quality Reporting

Farmington, CN (PRWEB) Indiana Health Information Exchange (IHIE), the HIE with the largest interorganizational clinical data repository in the country, has selected the complete Diameter Health platform for a pilot project to provide clinical data normalization and standardization services. IHIE serves over 13 million patients in Indiana and neighboring Midwestern states.
“Our strategic plan relies on improving clinical data interoperability so that we can support population health analytics and integrate more closely with inter and intra-regional partners.

Diameter Health’s data cleansing will enable IHIE to substantially improve the quality of clinical data that we gather and distribute,” said John Kansky, President and CEO of Indiana Health Information Exchange. “Ultimately, we want to provide the best, most complete information for clinical care, quality metrics, analytics, and other key purposes — so it can be used by participants to support care transitions and ensure patient safety.”

For enterprises like IHIE that integrate clinical data from multiple systems, Diameter Health platform cures clinical data disorder by normalizing, de-duplicating and enriching clinical data and leveraging interoperability standards to create substrate data suitable for population health analytics, quality reporting, and other analytic purposes.

“Indiana Health Information Exchange is one of the pre-eminent HIEs in the country and we are excited to be working with John and his team,” said Diameter Health CEO, Eric Rosow. “IHIE has an extensive data infrastructure, and we look forward to helping them ‘raise the bar’ further in addressing clinical data quality.”

Diameter Health’s Fusion platform standardizes, normalizes, de-duplicates and enriches clinical documents from any certified Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Unique proprietary technology yields more clinical data elements, including both machine readable and human readable content, while targeted Natural Language Processing (NLP) functionality resolves medical concepts. Diameter Health is certified by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) to calculate electronic clinical quality measures (eCQMs) for quality reporting and for use as standard supplemental data for HEDIS and STARS reporting.
