Their strategy with integrating SSI and Epic was to implement all facilities into the SSI centralized billing model prior to going live on Epic. Having the SSI system in working order with strong payer connections and provider edits allowed Sisters of Mercy to achieve a high validation rate fairly quickly amid their crossover to Epic, where a seamless transition was the ultimate goal.
