The system will allow Mary Washington Healthcare to improve the quality of care and reduce costs for over 3,000 employees who participate in the organization’s health plan.

Mary Washington Healthcare (MWHC) will utilize the Population Health solution from MedeAnalytics to improve quality of care and reduce costs for employees who participate in the organization’s self-insured health plan. The Population Health solution will aggregate and normalize disparate claims, digital records, and other clinical and financial data.

MWHC has just completed the final stages of the implementation of this system. The organization has uploaded employee data from the last three years into the MedeAnalytics platform and compressed the records into single encounters. MedeAnalytics has been working side-by-side with MWHC to train individuals to independently generate and pull reports for quality metrics.

More than 3,000 employees will benefit from the changes that the Population Health solution from MedeAnalytics is expected to bring. MWHC will also leverage the MedeAnalytics platform for its quality reporting needs, such as HEDIS.

MWHC has been certified in the Medicare Shared Savings Program and plans to expand the platform to a broader population as it enters other value-based shared savings agreements with commercial payers, the news release notes.

MedeAnalytics uses analytics to improve health. The company offers solutions for providers as well as health plans.

Mary Washington Healthcare is a regional medical system that provides emergency, inpatient, and outpatient care through over 40 facilities and services, including Mary Washington Hospital, a 437-bed regional medical center, and Stafford Hospital, a 100-bed community hospital. MWHC is a not-for-profit health system.

MedeAnalytics will showcase its Population Health solution, as well as other products the company offers, at the HIMSS15 Annual Conference & Exhibition in Chicago, IL, from April 12-16.
