MyDirectives Teams With Cerner And Coordinated Care Oklahoma

Real-time Digital Emergency, Critical and Advance Care Planning to be Embedded in Cerner Interoperability Offerings

Dallas, Texas-based ADVault, Inc., announced recently at the annual Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) conference that Cerner, a global leader in health care technology, and its health information exchange client Coordinated Care Oklahoma (CCO) will be using ADVault’s MyDirectives.com and MyDirectives MOBILE services to help consumers create, manage and share their emergency, critical and advance care plans. CCO facilitates access to more than 4.2 million people’s health records contributed by seven health systems, in excess of 45 hospitals and more than 3,000 providers in five states. The award-winning Cerner HIE platform is the technology backbone of the CCO HIE. HIMSS15 is the premier gathering of over 35,000 healthcare professionals with a focus on innovation and technology.

An emergency, critical and advance care plan is a comprehensive document that can include elements of a living will, healthcare power of attorney and a person’s thoughts, goals and preferences related to his or her healthcare and specific medical treatments. A thorough plan, when accessible, can help people and their medical teams share important information about the individual’s healthcare.
