Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative's Quality Data Center Achieves ONC HIT 2014 Edition Modular EHR Certification From ICSA Labs

The Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative (MAeHC), a non-profit pioneer and leader in healthcare delivery through health information technology, recently announced that its Quality Data Center (QDC), v. 3.0 a HIPAA-compliant modular electronic health record (EHR) solution for meeting internal and external clinical reporting requirements has achieved ONC HIT 2014 Edition Modular EHR certification. The certification designates that the software is capable of supporting eligible hospitals and providers with meeting the Stage 1 and Stage 2 Meaningful Use measures required to qualify for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The QDC was certified on July 23, 2014 by ICSA Labs, an Office of the National Coordinator-Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB) and is compliant in accordance with applicable criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS).

“The QDC helps to connect communities in Massachusetts by providing a comprehensive, data warehousing solution that seamlessly extracts and aggregates data from multiple clinical systems and provides timely feedback that helps clinical teams improve overall quality of care,” said David Delano, project director at the Massachusetts eHealth Collaborative. “We’re pleased that our QDC has achieved these additional certifications to help support eligible hospitals as they work to successfully attest to Meaningful Use Stage 1 and 2.”
ICSA Labs, an independent division of Verizon, offers vendor-neutral testing and certification. ONC HIT 2014 Edition Certification is granted to those technologies that are capable of meeting the more rigorous testing criteria developed to support providers and hospitals who wish to demonstrate Stage 2 Meaningful Use, which focuses on the capability of health IT to deliver higher quality patient care and exchange clinical information securely.

The MAeHC QDC’s Inpatient certification number is 140193R00. The MAeHC QDC’s Ambulatory certification number is: 140192R00. ONC HIT certification conferred by ICSA Labs does not represent an endorsement of the certified EHR technology by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
