Honeywell Expedites Emergency Room Registration And Admissions With A Complete Healthcare Solution

Regina Medical Center, located in Hastings, Minnesota, has 57 hospital beds for inpatient care and additional outpatient and emergency department areas. As a growing facility, Regina was in search of a system that would increase productivity and decrease the risk of error in patient registrations for emergency room visits. To fit this need, Regina selected and implemented two Honeywell Scanning & Mobility area-imaging scanners enhanced with the company’s EasyID software plug-in. This solution allows Regina’s registration staff to input patient information with a simple scan of the PDF417 bar code located on a patient’s driver’s license.
