HIMSS Analytics Announces Hyland, Creator Of OnBase As Certified Educator Of The EMRAM And A-EMRAM

EMRAM and A-EMRAM are each an eight-step process that allows healthcare provider organizations to analyze their level of EMR adoption, chart accomplishments, and benchmark progress against other healthcare organizations across the country. Every stage in both EMRAM and A-EMRAM is measured by cumulative capabilities and all capabilities within each stage must be reached before progressing. EMRAM and A-EMRAM scores can be used in planning and executing EMR strategies while charting an organization’s path for achieving Meaningful Use funds.

“Both the EMRAM and Ambulatory EMRAM play key roles in helping organizations optimize their EMR strategies,” said Blain Newton, COO, HIMSS Analytics. “To be able to certify Hyland as a Certified Educator for both EMRAM and Ambulatory EMRAM speaks to their dedication to advancing the industry,”

Vendors achieving HIMSS Analytics Certified Educator status must pass an annual certification exam and commit to an annual educator program. This ensures they stay current with trends within the model and are equipped with the necessary knowledge to help their clients advance through the various stages.

“This certification demonstrates Hyland’s understanding of the intricate components of the EMRAM and A-EMRAM stages and our ability to work with organizations to achieve Stage 7,” said Lorna Green, RN, BSN, healthcare informatics manager, Hyland. “By helping our customers reach their EMRAM goals, we also help them deliver the best possible care and improve outcomes.”
