Greythorn Forms Healthcare IT Advisory Board

Greythorn is proud to announce the formation of its Healthcare IT Advisory Board. Comprised of experienced professionals hailing from various corners of the industry, they offer decades of accumulated expertise with which to guide the company’s continued growth.

Greythorn’s Managing Director, Ben Weber, was enthused about the about the announcement.

“I am proud of the reputation Greythorn has built as a trustworthy partner for both hospital systems and HIT talent,” he said. “But the outside intelligence and experience we will gain from our board of advisors will invigorate the company in ways we have not yet seen. This is an important step for Greythorn to take, and I’m honored these men are taking it with us.”

The company has appointed three founding members to its Healthcare IT Advisory Board: Steven C. Tarr, PhD; John Stanley; and Peter Ghavami, PhD.

Steven C. Tarr, PhD
Chief Operations Officer, Acucela
Steven Tarr has served as a top executive in many technology and healthcare organizations and taught at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and other major universities. His experience includes Fortune 500 companies, startups, and large public service organizations. Dr. Tarr is currently a board member in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors, and has authored two books on leadership.

John Stanley
Vice President, Impact Advisors
John Stanley has more than 20 years of combined information technology consulting and healthcare industry executive experience. His background and expertise includes strategic IT planning, operations and project management, business development, large-scale technology implementation and product-market planning. He is a recognized thought leader in health information exchange and healthcare analytics solutions. Prior to joining Impact Advisors, John was the international business development leader for a health IT solutions vendor. John regularly contributes to national publications and has presented at a number of industry conferences.

Peter Ghavami, PhD
Director of Data Analytics, Capital One Financial
Peter Ghavami is a world renowned IT consultant and best-selling author of several IT books. He has served as a consultant and advisor to Fortune 500 companies for IT strategy, big data analytics, innovation and new technology development, and his books have been used as text books by several universities. Dr. Ghavami currently serves as the Head of Data Analytics for the Bank division of Capital One Financial, and previously served as Director of Informatics at the University of Washington Health. He has more than 25 years of experience in technology development, IT leadership, data analytics, supercomputing, software engineering and innovation.
