Craneware And Centura Health Selected To Present On Charge Capture Standardization And Best Practices At HFMA ANI 2014

Presentation to Detail the Importance of Automated Charge Capture Processes and Share Best Practices to Ensure Compliance and Reduce Revenue Leakage

As U.S. healthcare organizations face increasing pressure to lower costs and manage risk, many are challenged with the ability to accurately track and capture charges, especially with continually changing charge rules and regulations. To help hospitals and health systems develop best practices for accurate charging, Craneware, Inc., the healthcare market leader in automated revenue integrity solutions, recently announced its selection to present alongside its client, Centura Health, a 15-hospital system based in Colorado and western Kansas, at the Healthcare Financial Management Association's 2014 National Institute (HFMA ANI).

Centura Health's Director of Revenue Integrity Daniel Young and Craneware's Vice President of Professional Services Michael Najera will lead a presentation titled, "Charge Capture Standardization Best Practices," on June 24 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. PST in Las Vegas. During the session, Young and Najera will describe the best practices Centura implemented to standardize charging across diverse facilities, create a sustainable charge capture workflow, establish a performance improvement process, bridge gaps that exist between expenses and revenue, and minimize denial and audit management risks.

"In today's fast-changing industry, health systems need to consistently validate that their charge capture is complete, correct and compliant with requirements. The use of current processes and automated chargemaster management tools is essential to achieve revenue integrity," said Keith Neilson, Craneware CEO. "The fact that we were selected to present with Centura Health on this subject highlights the critical need for hospitals to implement enterprise-wide, automated charge capture processes."

"Using automation to support an effective charge capture process helps us to more efficiently ensure its accuracy and completeness, allowing us to focus on what matters most-our patients and people," said Daniel Young, Director of Revenue Integrity at Centura Health. "I'm looking forward to sharing this story with an audience of my peers and hope that these healthcare professionals can take a few of the lessons we've learned at Centura and bring them back to their own organizations."

Craneware Revenue Integrity Solutions span four product families: Supply Management, Audit & Revenue Recovery, Revenue Cycle, and Access Management & Strategic Pricing.
