American HealthTech Spotlights Reimbursement Solutions At AHCA

Visit AHT in Booth #1213 at the AHCA/NCAL Convention and Expo in San Antonio

American HealthTech (AHT) is spotlighting opportunities for Skilled Nursing Facilities to optimize revenue under evolving payment models at the AHCA/NCAL Convention in San Antonio October 4-7.

In product news, AHT, a leading information technology provider to the skilled nursing industry, will be demonstrating its set of integrated Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) technology solutions aimed to address the complexities of emerging healthcare payment models. The RCM tools are evidence that AHT is delivering on its previously-announced “responsive product roadmap” strategy, aligning technology solutions to industry needs and client goals.

AHT President Teresa Chase said, “The pace of change in reimbursement for Skilled Nursing Facilities can be overwhelming, and we are providing solutions to help our clients stay ahead of the curve.”

Chase said by 2018, 50 percent of Medicare payments will occur within HHS Alternative Payment Models, which reward quality and value of care.

The emphasis on care will also be showcased as AHT is demonstrating additional clinical tools in AHT Work Center, its web-based solution giving providers real-time resident information via mobile devices. Integrated care planning – detailed technology support for the resident and the full interdisciplinary team -- adds power to the Work Center tool, providing faster, more informed and more efficient resident care.

AHT will host an executive roundtable on “Emerging Reimbursement Models” on Wednesday, Oct. 7 in conjunction with the AHCA/NCAL annual meeting. The focus will be on the challenges and opportunities facing Skilled Nursing Facilities as they adjust to the alternative payment models to meet the quality of care goals announced by HHS earlier this year. The session will feature Medicalodges COO Fred Benjamin as moderator, with panelists from various skilled nursing facilities including Care Initiatives, First Atlantic HealthCare and Tara Cares.

“It’s all about helping care organizations use data and automation to create clinical and financial efficiencies,” Chase said.
