Aprima Medical Software, leading provider of innovative electronic health records (EHR), practicemanagement (PM) and revenue cycle management solutions (RCM) for medical practices, recently announced that the American College of Phlebology (ACP) has certified that Aprima EHR has met certain minimum criteria, ensuring data fields match and provides a consistent interface between the user and the ACP PRO Venous Registry.i

"We are proud to be the first and only non-vein-specific EHR vendor to earn ACP certification," said Michael Nissenbaum, CEO and president of Aprima. "We have incorporated tools to make it easy for phlebology practices to document different types of treatments for specific vein conditions and have streamlined the reporting capabilities for the ACP Venous Registry. Aprima is committed to continually investing in our products and services to enhance their usage and to address the needs of current and future customers across a variety of specialties."

The Aprima EHR is available with phlebology-specific forms to facilitate the documentation of a variety of vein-specific conditions. The Aprima solution also includes built-in support to help practices meet requirements for Medicare performance programs and quality reporting initiatives, including PQRS, Meaningful Use and the current 2017 MACRA/MIPS program.

"What I like about Aprima is the ability to easily customize the system for my practice's specific needs," said Joseph T. Jenkins, M.D., F.A.C.S., of the Dubuque, Iowa Tri-State Vein Center. "Since the first day our practice went live all I have had to do was document procedures with a few clicks and I am done. The staff in my office have embraced Aprima EHR, which is important because my team is a vital part of the practice's success."
